I think he was deliberately and considerately using 'she' to not use 'he', tHe 'he' that he could have otHerwise easily used if he was as sic(k) as tHe late MCPublisHers of Nature who left out iron-males wHen writing tHeir mission. And to furtHer capitalize on tHis point he capitalized the word 'she' but not wanting to stop tHere, he unsic-ed-it. What I was suggesting was that as he was using 'she' wHere he was depicting a he/she who is not a nice person, he might still be doing injustice to fe-males and He-nce I said he could have still used '(sic)'.

We've got a new troublemaker (as yet anonymous) in our lab - keeps changing the temperature of ovens without leaving notes - sometimes when other peoples samples are in.

Challenge's solution to this would be for everyone to have their own personal oven. In absence of budget and space, we are all wondering what could be done! Someone's going to set up a discreet weekend webcam on the sly...;

NAHH... I do not want it to be "to each of her/his own". I just stated that maybe that is the only way of making it work?!!?

The person changing the temperature should have some samples in the oven soon enough after changing the temp right? So it shouldn't be too hard to figure out who it is.... but I guess the camera is a better option??? but still, maybe a note on the oven stating "do NOT change the temperature without telling people who have things in the oven" or something like that. Maybe they are just stupid and didn't think about others????

well, to be honest - I use the notes, partly because I want to believe that people are good and thinking about eachother but sometimes a little forgetful, as an excuse that I can really slam someone when I find out who are responsible for it (changing temps etc). Then they can't hide behind the "I didn't know that" that people tend to use although it makes them seem less than average....

Ehh... maybe I should refrain from writing here and expressing my inner thoughts before morning and the coffee is finished. Did I tell you I am not really a morning person? [crawls away to hide for another hour or so....]
